Mid year report for Early Decision

I'm thinking about trying out for early decision.. so here's what I'm wondering (I'm using common app)

-What grades do they send to the schools? Do they send my current grades this year or just grades up to 2nd semester of junior year (since the deadline in November 1st, they wouldn't have my 1st semester scores (due in January)) I really don't want them to send my "current" grades because it's beginning of the year and I tend to start out badly... So in the common app, do I still have to send the mid year report page?

-Also I haven't taken my SAT II yet... I wasn't thinking about Early Decision before so I was too lazy about it (taking it november, actually) it would matter that I haven't taken my SAT II yet.. right?

Thanx!!!!

Bumpage.. help.

Your grades through the end of junior year will be sent by your school. If you are accepted or deferred ED, your school will send in your 1st semester grades in January.

As I've posted elsewhere here, a number of colleges will call high schools and ask for first quarter grades for ED applicants - particularly in the case of candidates who are borderline.

You'll have to check with your ED school about whether the November SAT II is acceptable - my guess is that it probably is OK, but you should rush the scores. But check - each school has it's own rules.

So what happens if you got accepted into your ED school.. and your school sent your 1st semester grades (which was horrible, lets say) would they kick you off the ED list?

And also, do I just leave the mid year report page(of common app) out of the application since it's not mid year yet?

If your grades go down senior year, you do run the risk of an ED acceptance being rescinded. My guess would be that the college wouldn't make this decision until after the second semester grades came in.

You should give the mid-year report page to your guidance counselor in January.
