Mid Year Reports -lower grades in ap clases okay?

I applied to UPenn and JHU and I know JHU has a deadline and I think Upenn, based on what I googled, seems to be "send them in as soon as your school gets the midterm grades done".

So far my GPA has been 3.96 UW for the cumulative past 3 years. But this nine weeks i have a C in AP Calc BC (only one test which i didn't do so well -__-) and a low B in AP Bio. :/ the other classes i have A's.

For the semester(haven't taken midterms yet), I have B's for both AP Calc BC and AP Bio. the rest are A's.

I'm hoping to either keep or raise those B's with my midterm grades but I'm wondering whether quarter grades show up on the transcript and whether these B's can negatively affect my application?

I usually pull grades up to A's by the end of the year. Only exception so far was AP Physics C last year. XD

It depends. Some colleges could care less about your senior grades, but some of the more competitive ones may monitor them. I think you’ll be alright though. It’s not like you’re failing all of your classes. One C shouldn’t kill you.

oh goodie. =D
