Mid-year reports

I have some specific questions about mid-year reports. I know for sure that my son's coursework will not be what was on the original transcripts I sent for all college apps. (I'm the homeschool parent/administrator)

Will I resend transcripts (that is, do your counselors resend them) with changes, or do I just explain the changes on the mid-year report?

Will I need to send fall community college grades to all the schools again or can I just report them? As a homeschooler, they usually want more documentation than from traditionally schooled kids, but I'd rather not spend more money if I don't have to.

When does the mid-year report usually get filed?

Thank-you!

I know that with traditional schools, there has to be new official transcripts sent. (The mid year report at both my Ds’ schools included new official transcripts showing semester grades, not just an informal letter reporting them. D1 had to send official transcripts for her CC calc class.)

Self-reported grades aren’t considered “official”.

Mid year reports need to be sent as soon as final fall grades are available.

Ok, this is helpful, WayOutWestMom. Thank-you! I guess I will have to suck it up and send CC grades to all the schools again. At least by May, there will only be one school receiving CC transcripts! :-)

I’ll update the transcript in December. I’d better check to see if I can upload the updated transcript somewhere on the counselor’s mid-year report.
