Midd Overenrollment Issue

For the last few years, both because of increasing applications and because of higher acceptance rates from these pools, overenrollment has started to become a major issue for many schools.

I know that Stanford is quite overenrolled. But I am more interested in Middlebury, actually =). Now, my resume has to be in an older post somewhere and I believe that at least stand a mediocre chance for Midd.

As a matter of fact, Midd is not admitting any transfer this year for their junior class. However, their 2011 class, which I'll be applying for junior next March is the most congested ever. The 2009 class, the class for which they are not accepting junior transfers this year, is 540 people.

And, much to my dismay, the 2011 class is 645 PEOPLE! They overenrolled about 100 people.

So the question is, looking at the numbers can I partially predict that the possibility for no transfers to the 2011 class's junior is quite quite high? I will be applying next March and I'll apply to be a junior for the class of 2011

Or does a chance still stand?
Thanks in advance

C'mon! Nothing to say?

This is not a question for us... call them.

You should definately call them. However, keep in mind that there are some cases where students drop out, so they may in fact accept a couple of transfers.
