I applied to nearly all the ivies, plus other selective schools like Duke, and after seeing my midyear grades, I am now extremely worried. Freshmen year to junior year, I’ve gotten all As (mainly A+s, and a few As and A-s). Sophomore year I took AP Psych, and junior year, I took AP Calc AB, AP Lang, APUSH, and AP Physics. In all these AP classes, I ended up with all As, and did well on all the AP tests, except Physics haha. And this year, I’m taking AP Spanish, AP Lit, AP gov, AP bio, and AP Calc BC. For my first marking period, I got all A-s, and a B in bio. And for the second marking period, there was a huge drop in my grades. I have As in AP lit and AP Gov, but a B+ in AP Calc, a B in AP Spanish, and a B- in AP bio. This is mainly because I did poorly on a few tests and also because I’m starting to get senioritis haha. I don’t want colleges to think I’m slacking off. Maybe I’m overthinking it, but I’m currently really anxious that these grades will hurt my chances in getting in to Princeton, Yale, Cornell, etc…since they are all extremely competitive schools. I think my application is very strong, minus my meh standardized test scores (all in an ok range, but not very high) and my interviews all have been very meh as well (I’m not great at elaborating and talking). Does anyone know how much the midyear reports count and if the grades I have will likely hurt me?

You talk about doing poorly on tests because you think you have senioritis. But then you contradict yourself by saying you don’t want them to think you are slacking off.
The issue is that you are slacking off, whether consciously or unconsciously.
However, you should probably be fine as long as you don’t start failing or getting C’s, just don’t be in a position where you have to inform them of your new low grades.
