Midyear Report

I applied early decision and was deferred. I sent a new transcript about two weeks later, because my school has 9 week grade reports so I had a recent one. My midyear grades came out last week, and most of my grades have come up a few points, and one has jumped a letter grade. Should I send a transcript of my first semester grades, or will it only hinder me because of the extra papers?

Do it.

…

Even IF the extra papers would hinder you, I would assume that W & M having all the info to make a well-informed decision would definitely outweigh any hindrance.

You should send your mid-year (aka first semester grades). Actually, your school is likely doing this automatically. The extra paper will in no way hinder our review of your application.
