MidYrReports - Will they look?

Hey all. Senior here waiting in agony for my decisions. Meanwhile, I am freaking out because my school report was sent BEFORE my senior grades were out. So now, my counselor put my senior grades (1st trimester) into my MidYear Report. Btw, my senior grades are better than my junior grades so hopefully the colleges see them. My question is:

If the adcoms see that my school report does not include grade 12 marks and only grade 11 marks (which aren't that stellar), will they look at my mid-years automatically for senior grades or will they just reject me w/o even looking at the mid years (bec junior grades not that impressive)? I am paranoid. Help much appreciated.

It is normal for the school report to be sent before mid-year senior grades are available. The mid-year senior report is primarily used for borderline candidates. If you are borderline, they will go out of their way to get the mid-year report even if it means calling the GC on the phone.

On the other hand, it depends on what college you are talking about.
