Might get a C in Intermediate algebra! Shold I give up on STEM?

World Civilization I
English Composition
Fundamentals of Public Speaking
Intermediate Algebra

I did have College Algebra and Triginometry with Analytic Geometry but I replaced them with Intermediate Algebra and Fundamentals of Public Speaking. I can make changes at any time. I thought about taking American History or a Economics class such as micro or macro instead of taking Public Speaking to fulfill my other social science requirement but I will do that in the spring and for now get Public Speaking out of the way.

I took both Mirco and macro for my social sceince requirement

@NASA2014 which Economics class did you find more interesting? I saw in your threads you also took world civlization I, American History 1, and American History 2. How many social science requirements did you need for your degree? Did you like American History or world Civilization better?

Hard to tell. For me World Civilization was better because I did pretty well! American History(AM) on the other hand was pretty hard. AM to me was okay but not quite too excited. I think because I love seeing action and that made me love World Civilization even more. You get to learn from the Acicent History up to sometimes 9/11 or the fall of the Soviet Union. I loved Marco more than Mirco. Macro had less math, but even though I’m good with math. I don’t like money Math.

@NASA2014 So does world civilization have any American History topics in it?

@NASA2014 do you think Just Introductory Chemistry I before General Chemistry I and Physics I(Triginometry based Physics) before mechanics(Calculus based Physics) would be enough or do you reccomned taking Physics 2 and Introductory Chemistry 2 as well? Was Chemistry and Physics interesting because it’s applied math? Was the temperature, liquids and phases, or hydrostatics part of these classes fun or interesting?

By the way, why do colleges have staff, instructors, and tutors that are rude to there students if they are paying them money to attend there? I had tutors that I liked and didn’t like at my school and near finals time when I needed help a lot I didn’t go to the tutoring center when the Tutors I didn’t like were there because I knew they would be rude. Colleges should support students more if they are giving them money.

We have what is called Learning Commons. Where it’s a free tutoring center where tutors are there to help. I honestly don’t like it because the math tutors are mean and rude. I remember one time, I wanted to get some help. The tutor proceeds to rush things and after that, I never went back. I usually visit but never get help no more.

@NASA2014 if you need help with math, do you get it from your instructor or do you watch online lectures?

Well, I had a wonderful professor who taught me Intermediate Algebra and College Algebra and Trigonometry. And Also took Calc 1 with him. He is the first person I go to whenever I have trouble with math. He is the reason why I’m good at math and loved math because of him. He is my mentor and a friend. To do this day, I still message him on Facebook and get help. Since I’m auditing Calc 2 over the summer, I often send him messages if this problem is right. G

How do you audit a course to take at a Communtiy college?

You go to the register office and tell them you want to audit a course. They’ll give you a paper and you have to get it sign by the department chair and professor!

Can audited courses still be paid with financial aid?

I’m not sure. I don’t remember paying for it.

I think if you have 12 credits already, then you won’t get charge so financial aid will cover.

Also don’t mention to the register “Zoology, Meteorology, and Environmental Science”

@NASA2014 what’s the big deal with mentioning those subjects? Lol

So have you decide what are you going to major?

Major in meteorology and minor in zoology
Major in engineering and minor in environment science

It wouldn’t make sense to major in Engineering and minor in Environmental Science if the type of Engineering I wasn’t studying was environmental because there already is probably environmental science involved in that. Majoring in civil or environmental engineering and minoriing in Zoology or Meteorology would be the way to go. Maybe majoring in Zoology, Meteorology, or Environmental Science and minoring in Zoology, Meteorlogy, or Environmental Science. Don’t insult because I said it again.

By the way Zoology, Meteorology, and Environmental Science are connected because weather affects animals and environmental pollution and issues affects both the weather and animals.
