<p>Okay folks I am in mini panic here. Call me incredibly stupid or what have you (I'm a mom) but I thought Cornell's FA apps weren't due till Feb. 1st. I had tried several times to link to Cornell's on-line application for financial aid but was nothing came up when I tried to click on that link. But when I clicked on today I DID get the link....But I just read the apps are due Jan. 2nd. My questions: a. can we still apply anyway and hope for the best b. is there no point in applying for financial aid now at all and c. if my child is accepted and since we missed FA app, and said child was accepted does that mean we'd have to pay entire amount if no scholarships came. In that case would we be allowed to apply for financial aid SECOND year of college?</p>
<p>I feel so badly right now. Any thoughts would be most appreciated, thank you. In retrospect I should have made a phone call when I couldn't link onto the FA webpage app link.</p>
<p>c) If you don’t get your financial aid offer in time, it is possible to accept the admissions offer and take whatever financial aid eventually comes. If you are applying right now for financial aid, I doubt you will be delayed in when you receive your financial aid offer though. </p>
<p>Cornell doesn’t grant scholarships, only need-based grant aid. You are free to apply every single year, however, but if you didn’t qualify for any your first year, I doubt you would qualify any of the other years (barring significant financial changes).</p>
<p>thanks to both of you for your speedy reply. I have looked over the forms and will get them in no later than the end of the week (looks like the BUFS form will be the most difficult) and go ahead and send them in.</p>
