So, I just recently decided to apply to this college, let's call it college A. I just found out that college A has a deadline on Nov 15th to schedule an interview and today is Nov 26th. I'm freaking out because college A calls the interview "important" under the Common Data Set and they highly recommend that people interview and I really want to interview!

Do you think that College A will adhere strictly to the deadline and say no, or be more leninent and let me interview? Thanks!

My guess is that it matters how interested College A is in you and how strongly you pres your case for an interview. Sending them a note that you’ve only recently discovered College A, fell in love with it, but unfortunately all of this happened after their interview deadline may help you.

You’ll get more informative answers if you say what the college is.

College A = Wake Forest

And well recently, there have been some medical problems in my family, which compelled me to pursue a wider range of colleges because of the financial complications. So I recently added Wake Forest, and I did visit though, but not officially, I visited a friend last year. I’m thinking about calling them on Monday.

So do it, call them and tell them that.
