Missed the deadline...

I was told I did not have to apply in-state, so I let the November 1st deadline pass by. Recently, my parents decided to make me apply in-state. I come from a long line of Gator legacy and UF is really the only school in Florida I would ever want to consider (though I really don't want a big school, which is why I didn't initially apply). I don't want to be rejected, because my family will tease me forever, so is it worth it to apply at this point or will I just be rejected since it is on a space available basis at this point? I'm top 5%, which according to our school's college counselor, would be accepted if applied by the deadline. But now, I don't even know if it's worth it. What if I got a bull Gator to back up my application? Would it make it easier to get the application considered? Thanks.

Post more of your stats and some of us could help. If you have an outstanding record, then you probably still have a chance, but if your record would probably just scrape you through the door to begin with, you might have to rethink this endeavor.
