Missent Emails?

aetasaeterna, could you post what your counselor says tomorrow, please? I think my counselor will be out tomorrow; she wasn’t feeling to well today.

funny how I received the same letter. So disappointed! For me it was app fee.

Whoa, I’ve heard of that happening at other schools but not at Emory… at least not the last several years (I began freshman year in '05). I think this sort of this happens to several schools every year. It sucks, but I guess it is bound to happen with all of the applications and decisions and emails… who knows

Obviously I don’t know exactly what’s going on, but I always had very good experiences with the Admission Office as a student (was a Tour Guide) and I’m sure they will work with you to make sure everything is corrected. I was giving a tour once to someone that was missing a document like 10 days before April 1… she was afraid she wouldn’t get an admission decision. I found an Admission Counselor for her to talk to and apparently they got it all fixed.

I didn’t remember that it happened until the next year when that girl ran into me on campus and recognized me and told me about how I had helped her (I had forgotten. Whoops!) and that she got her admission decision on time and that here she was as a freshman, loving it :slight_smile:

Man, thinking back to my senior year of high school, I would have been devastated to find out that I was admitted to Emory (or other schools) only to find out I would have to wait longer :frowning: I feel for you guys! I would probably just contact their office and figure out what’s going on and hopefully they can help straighten things out and help you breathe a little easier.

@kunformig,
All they said to my counselor was that “they were sorry that they made a mistake, and that I was not missing anything”

It’s unfortunate that they sent out some wrong emails. All the same, I would call and confirm the file is complete. Better safe than sorry …
