I applied to UCSC for 2010 and I have all my classes complete including math and English. The problem is I'm going to be missing my science class with a lab attached. I've already completed Biology non-lab and got an 'A' and I'm taking geography next semester which is my last before I transfer but it's a non-lab as well. I'll have both science classes complete but I can't get into a good science class with a lab and I'll have to wait untill after I transfer to complete it. Is it OK to do this last class at the community college even after I transfer? I don't want to have to take it at the school I want to transfer to.

yeah, you can take CC classes after you transfer. People do it all the time. I don’t know how likely it is that you’ll get in, UCSC is pretty easy but then again IGETC is required… good luck either way.

u dont NEED IGETC to trasnfer, as long as uve satified the 7 course breadth requirement ur good. and seeing as how u have done everything cept the physical science with lab, ur good to go, just make sure u didnt mark that u would be doing IGETC on ur app/update.

i’m pretty sure a lab is on every breadth requirement

take the lab for biology this semester if you can. i doubt that they have to be taken concurrently.

and yes you do NEED IGETC to transfer, and the lab is on there.

good luck to ya
