For TWO of my classes I realized put down that I got a B+ instead of a B- as my final grade. It was an honest mistake, but I don't know how to proceed now. I don't really want to submit an entire document to the UC system telling of my mistake because I feel that it would look bad; if I were to get accepted as a transfer & send in my official transcript later on, would they really rescind me for those two disruptancies?

Thanks

Im pretty sure you can change the grades when you log back in in january but if not, definitely call each uc.

On the January application the only section that you will be allowed to update is your fall grades and planned/in progress courses for winter and spring. Every other section of the app will be locked and there’s no way to edit them. There’s a real possibility that if you don’t make the UCs aware of the mistake before they review your application that you could be rescinded, especially because your honest mistake makes your GPA more competitive than it actually is. The UCs don’t take inconsistency in self-reporting and your transcripts lightly. If I were you I would call them immediately and inform them as well as leave a note in the additional comments section during the update to make them aware of the mistake.

As far as looking bad, lol, I think to them being honest and forthcoming about the grade inconsistency is going to look a whole lot better than what could be seen as a calculated attempt to increase your GPA or that it wasn’t important enough to you to check your application thoroughly at any of the point in the application process. I think they’d expect you to at least catch your mistake during the update or some other point in the process before July when you send in your transcripts.
