“upon graduation plan to” should have been “upon graduation I plan to”

Forgot the second word of a NYC college’s neighborhood but it’s no biggie

Originally wrote ___ and proximity to home help to _!" but changed it to “ and proximity to home help are bonuses, too”

I forgot to self-submit my SAT subject tests.

I forgot to answer those random questions on the Harvard supp (like how definite are of your ECs and what cities have you lived in).

I checked “No” instead of “Yes” whether I had visited Columbia’s campus even though I wrote one of my essays on my experience there.

I wrote a free-verse poem on the Stanford roommate essay and the supp cut half of it off (thank God I discovered this before I submitted though).

I was so pressed against time (even though I started on these in August), I didn’t thoroughly examine everything so…oh well. No biggy.

Oh, yeah and I forgot that my dad had a college degree for some reason and put that he just attended college, not that he had a degree. I guess I should fix that?

I mistakenly put for one of my minor EC’s that I participated for 20 hr/wk for 3 wks instead of 3 hrs/wk for 20 wks… Does anyone think I should contact the schools.

In an essay to one school, I talked about their international RELATIONS major when they only have an international STUDIES major. I feel like such an idiot cause I tried so hard not to mix up IS and IR in my apps. How bad is that?

Hopefully it doesn’t matter that much, but I used principals instead of principles. I feel like such an idiot and it sent in all 5 of my top choices >.> Reading the rest of these does make me feel better though. Hopefully AdComs can realize we’re all human, even if most of the people who apply to CalTech aren’t ;_;

In an essay about the Olympics, I wrote about the all different “counties” in attendance. Guess they didn’t catch it, or care, cuz I got in anyway!

I just sent out a fellowship application, with glowing rec. letters and three stunning essays, only to see that I listed myself as having taken three “independant” studies. I always thought it was hilarious that the Gotham Independant Film Festival couldn’t spell, and now I’m one of them!

After submitting my common application to American University, I realized that I put wrong section in my honors and awards section. I was on Dean’s list two semesters and President’s Scholar one semester. However, in my common application, I put 2 semesters on President’s Scholar and 1 semester on Dean’s list instead. I didn’t mean to be dishonesty. I wonder should I contact with AU admission officer? any suggestion is appreciated…

I used to instead of too on my BC app and have not received a decision yet. I just hope that the person reviewing my app isn’t a grammar Nazi who gets extremely annoyed with these type of things (I know these type of people exist). The thing that bothers me the most is that I KNOW the difference between to, too, and two; your and you’re; their, there, and they’re, etc. It was just a careless typo. Ugh!

I submitted my application to my top choice college with 2 mistakes. The dates when I started high school and when I graduate. The months and years are correct, but the days are wrong. I also did not have anyone read my essay before sending it in. Should I contact admission?
