Is it too late to apply to MIT?

–YungGuap

No, not at all you have a whopping 7 hours to send in your application for the whole committee to consider against all the other thousands of applicants, which shouldn’t be too stressful…

It sucks knowing that I’ll most likely get rejected but have that absurd little sliver of hope that a miracle might happen, only to remind myself how little that little sliver is. It’s a vicious cycle.

I had a nightmare of being rejected last night. That’s a bad sign for sure…
But as long as I don’t click that “see decision” button, I still have hope !

Don’t worry haha. I had that dream for my EA school but still got in :)

I’d just like to throw this out there as a potentially comforting insight, as conversation seems to be slow…

Due to the resources available at MIT, students are presented with the best opportunities in the world. With these benefits, however, comes the responsibility of utilizing these advantages to the advantage of everyone. MIT is not about the individual, it is about progressing life to new levels. Thus, all people, whether rejected, admitted, or incapable of creating, developing, and researching highly sophisticated technologies and sciences, benefit from what is happening right now at MIT, and what will continue to happen!

Thus, tonight is a celebration! No system is capable of providing the optimal combination of admissions that will lead to the greatest advancement and bliss for society. The admissions officers do the best they can with the severely, and I mean SEVERELY limited information they have. Additionally, the whole system is sad in that the school is not large enough to bring more of us together! Ideally, every one of us could come together at a single place, increasing the collective accomplishment of our body, and create greater benefit to the world. Sadly, this is not possible.

Thus, we cheer that with our rejection comes the hope that there are thousands of people more promising then us. Thousands who appear more capable of eliminating poverty, disease, corruption, and unhappiness throughout the universe, while supporting the development of technology through our understanding of reality to create absolute magnificence! The pursuits of people are many, but at MIT, they are good. The admissions know they have lost, for they will be unable to claim the many of us that offered ourselves, but learned and grew elsewhere as we supported life because they did not accept us! For, our generation is tasked to save this world.

And for the admitted. A wonderfully energetic, yet highly responsible future awaits you. Use your good fortune for the fortune of all, and support the right direction, the right development for life on this planet!

I look forward to collaborating and growing with you all in the future as we blissfully embrace this fascinating manifestation of consciousness and share our joy of existence!

Haginrainbow, thanks. Just thanks. That made me smile. :)

Yup, thanks.

@haginrainbow Love the optimistic outlook and really well written! :D

I would love to be accepted. It would be a dream come true; the idea of being accepted would give me never-ending happiness

But, let us not look down at ourselves if we do not get admitted. It has been an incredible few weeks with all of you and I wish you all the best of luck.

@haginrainbow
