I went on my.mit to fill out the midyear report which was due on March 1st for early admits. However, it seems that the form has been taken down.

The main reason I waited so long to fill it out was because I made a C in physics last semester, so I've been doing a lot of science competitions to try to make up for it and show them that I haven't been slacking. My last competition was this last weekend, so I wanted to include it in the report.

What should I do? It says on the website that they'll just contact my counselor if they don't get the midyear report form, but my counselor doesn't know about my updated awards and SAT physics score. Should I email them? Or should I just talk to my counselor? Will a C get me rescinded?

I think the deadline was Feb 15th for everybody

from what i’ve heard you should email or fax your report if you haven’t submitted it electronically. i don’t think one c will get your acceptance rescinded

It says on the website that application tracking was taken down, and if you’re worried about whether or not your midyear report was received, that they would just contact your counselor if they needed anything…so does that mean I should just let my counselor handle it?

have you tried finding a hard copy and mailing/faxing it in? you might still be in the clear, as there might be a possibility admissions is so busy with rd decisions that they won’t look at your report until after that has died down.

You’ll be okay if you let your counselor handle it, but you could always call them and ask if you could be emailed or mailed a copy of the form. Don’t over-explain – it’s fine just to say you didn’t get a chance to turn in the form, and could you please have another copy.

It’s not good to have a C in physics, but you would certainly be given a chance to explain yourself before MIT would take any action.
