If they release it next week, I might cry. Because that’s pretty close to all my AP tests and SAT subject test XD and @shockwaveblast GET SOME SLEEP. And it’s pretty unlikely that results are tonight, but I’m staying up just because I have some hw to do.

Two more minutes…and we will see!

Same here lucky star! Let’s all thank my wonderful Physics C teacher for cramming the last lessons of E&M a week befoe the exam!

Eeeeeee this is torture lol

I just checked and my results are not posted. The results will probably be posted tomorrow at 12:00 am. Good to luck to everyone that applied! AP Exams are less than a two weeks away!!

could still come? nahhh…

@brown210 At this point, it’s just a matter of time until the email from the portal comes in. I’m as anxious as the rest of you, but we should just remain calm now. Judging from previous posts, people here have been accepted into other prestigious summer opportunities. No matter what, all of us here will go to our respective programs or self-studies during the summer and that’s still amazing!

Sadly, I cannot sleep because of the massive cramming I’m doing for my AP exams (specifically AP Chem and the AP English Language Multiple Choice).

Btw, is anyone here in AP English Language and Composition?

@TIProgrammer84 so how do results come in? through email or through the application portal?

let’s all take a breather. have a good sleep, breaaaathe. tomorrow awaits in hopeful glory~
goodnight guys! it’s been real lol
wish you all the best of luck

@brown210 I’m in ap language it actually is the only exam I’m looking forward to-I received a 5 on the mock exam so I’m hopeful about the actual exam.

@shockwaveblast I’m not particularly sure, but judging from MITES Alumni responses, I believe they were notified by an email stating there have been updates to their profiles or the results have come in, etc. I would check the portal first, only because that’s direct access to your application and the results will probably be opened up as soon as you log-in.

@TheCupcakeSpy Are you using any prep books for AP English Language?

AP Lang is pretty easy IMO. I got a 5 on the mock exams. The hardest thing for me is the analysis. I LOVE the arguments.

I took Chem last year, our free response was such malarkey. I heard this year they are making it easier so I wouldn’t worry. I only got a 4 though :P. I ain’t even mad. It’s a hard exam.

@NanoEngineer I’m just terrible at the multiple choice; I’m great at writing the essays though. Any suggestions?

@TIProgrammer84 I’m using Barron’s , taking lots of practice test, and writing two essays a week-writing outlines, and essays with peer reviews. Read past essays that have received high scores, and try to get in as much writing as you can before the exam.

Read the passage first. Do not skip ahead and read the questions, it will skew you from gaining an understanding of the passage. Always skip the questions that take the longest like the which ones or one, or EXCEPTS, those take a lot of hunting and eat up time. Do those last. Other than that the questions are just tone and diction questions. So if you haven’t already, review tone vocab.
Oh and also know all the types of figurative languages well, many questions ask what type of language is used.

For the AP English Test, we took a mock exam in March. Without studying or practicing writing I got a 4, o you think I’ll get a 5 on test day? I don’t know what to study. I got. 6, 6, and a 7 on my essays. And for multiple choice I only got 34/55 right. So I guess the fastest way to get a 5 is to bump up my MC. But what do you guys think?

Work on your essays. I took a Mock without studying or anything and I got a 45/55 mc and an 8 8 9. The essays are weighted 55%* compared to the 45%.
One way to boost your sysnthesis score is to make it so the sources are almost having a conversation to use them as support. For example, While source a believes____ this source b would argue that ____. Making the sources almost dialogue is a sure fire way to boost that score. Also use strong verbs as oppposed to higher level adjectives. Strong verbs make your prose more sophisticated.

Alright, thanks so much @NanoEngineer ! So should I practice writing essays? Even though I wouldn’t know how to grade them?

They normally put up scoring guides next to thr example essays and stuff on the AP site so you could compare. If that’s not enough, use peer review or ask a teacher to grade a couple ( not too many unless she really likes you lol).
