Hey there! Has anyone who applied to MSRP General this year got any update on admission? I know the MSRP-Bio has sent out decisions pretty early.
No update at all. They said decisions would be released mid-March so I’m assuming by the end of this week? Most summer REUs already got back to me so I really need to know too, so I can decide on where to be this summer. Have you tried calling them?
Not yet…I guess contacting them isn’t necessary for now cause there’s still one week till mid-March. Last year some people didn’t hear back till May so I hope at least decisions come out on regular dates.
I don’t have the option to wait until May because I already have acceptances lined up and I have until the end of March to reply. I’ll be calling next week if I don’t hear anything and I’ll update what I know on here, unless we hear back before I have to call them. What program did you apply for?
I am an international geoscience major so I didn’t really apply for much, actually 3 in total. Got rejected by Stanford SURG some weeks ago and by another internship in Alaska recently. I need to know ASAP as well just because the round-trip airlines for summer are getting more expensive as I wait lol
Heard back earlier today around 1pm. Got accepted 
I agree the responses are slow tho, cuz I got accepted to MSU, Northwestern, and USC before March. Still haven’t heard back from any of Leadership Alliance schools tho (Stanford, UPenn, etc.)
AlbertD which department did you apply for? I heard from previous years that notifications vary depending on department.

Electrical and Computer Engineering. The 3 professors I chose are working on optical communications, if that helps

@Battosai thanks! And I did SROP at Northwestern last summer, and i am currently in LSAMP Program at my school (UTSA). As far as research topics, at NU I did image processing/clustering algorithms, but at UTSA I work on fiber optic communications/grating coupling
@AlbertD congrats! I wish that they would release decisions at the same time instead of releasing them individually like this. I applied mainly for AMO and condensed matter stuff in the physics department, and in physicists’ reference frames, mid March can be anything… Either way, congrats to those who got accepted! 
I really hope to see you this summer as well, and best of luck to those who are still waiting!
