<p>Hey guys, just wanted to join in the discussion, because I’ve also applied and recieved my confirmation email.
Stats-African American, girl
187 on PSAT, 650 on math, about the same for critical reading
both parents went to college
ranked #10 out of more than 1100 people in a 5A school
3.9/4.0 unweighted, 4.29 weighted on a 5.0 scale
currently taking 2 AP courses (incl. Physics) as well as 2 IB classes and one Pre-AP class
extracurriculars: NHS, Business Professionals of America, Eagle Depot (tutoring club)
I have no idea what my chances are, but I’m hopeful, and I know this discussion board isn’t about “what are my chances” so I won’t ask. </p>

<p>I got the confirmation by e-mail on the 17th. I sent mine part online and part by mail but the mail was priority and the post office website said MITES recieved it on the next day. But I also sent mine the saturday it was due.</p>
<p>I got confirmation… a long time ago… and haven’t heard since. Hoping for the best. Good luck to all!</p>

SAT: 2200 (750 CR, 760 M, 690 W [10 essay]) (The SAT scores came in after the deadline so they will only have my PSATs)</p>

<p>but then again, recently, i have been contemplating the idea of going to such a hardcore university. I want to enjoy my college life and gain friends. After all, graduates from MIT or many top colleges do not make that much more than those of lesser known privates, like NYU. BAH, but i still want to get into MITES cause it sounds so fun.
