yeah well next thing you know it will be spring break and you will forget about it for a while.

you really think youll just forget about it… its going to drive me insane, for sure…

its kinda torture… ha…

well what I meant is that hopefully during Spring Break u will have other activites that will temporarly distract you from it. But I’ll probably remeber it still. haha

my springbreak is already past so hopefully I’ll find other things to distract me :/

Actually I don’t do anything during spring break so I’ll probably be more anxious than now.

Hopefully the “by” April 15th really means late March =].

@ Petri
No way really you already had your Spring Break. Do u get out of school early then?

@ Terrance
Yeah I agree with you. I know some people started getting their letter by late MArch. But Terrance u live in Fl along me right? We’re probably going to get ours later, well that’s what I read last year. Actually I’m not sure, don’t listen 2 me I’m probably wrong.

Yeah, I think you’re right.

Last year, anyways, is how you’re describing it…they should just send decisions by e-mail…much faster to tell us we got accepted/rejected/[miraculously] waitlisted.

@blackrose21
yeah we usually have our springbreak here from early to middish March. This year spring break was the 7th through the 14. We get out of school sometime in the first week of June.

Yeah BlackRose21, I’m in FL as well. I guess late letters is the price we pay for living on the opposite end of the country. Everyday I get more and more anxious :P.

lol florida… sorry ha… the blindingly sunny, destructively rainy, bog-state…

i really wish i were in florida right now… its so cold up here…

anyways what other programs did you guys apply to, incase mites rejects(GASP) you?
so far ive applied to
SAMS, SUMaC, SSP, YESS, RSI, EA/AP(CMU).

RSI rejected me… (another GASP)

yous?

YESS, SSP, and COSMOS.

dang drosophyllum you applied to a lot of places! That’s really good, it’s what I should have done :/. But I only applied to YESS, MITES and SSP. I got waitlisted for SSP :/, at least that’s better than a rejection though so I’ll take it

I only applied to MITES . . .

I’ve got other stuff to fall back on if I don’t get in. :)

YESS, MITES, cornell Nanobiotech, SEAP and other local labs…:0>

I applied to MITES and a music program. I got into the music program so now I’m just waiting on MITES.

I applied to MITES, UPenn SAAST Summer program, and Questbridge

petri; how many weeks did it take for them to send you your status?

drosophyllum, do you mean for ssp or mites??

I got a message from SSP saying that my application was complete about two weeks after I sent it, and they told me that I was on the waitlist about 2 weeks after that so it took a little more than 4 weeks to find out whether I was getting into SSP or not. I don’t remember how long it took for mites to send me my status so sorry if you were asking about mites :/

I’ve been thinking, if i get accepted to one of those crazy programs out in like the west should i take a train or the plane. IDK… it sounds sooo cool to take a train and like see alllll of the country(im in new york so newyork to cali crosses all the nation).
It sounds sooo fun… but then again 3 days on a boring train… what on earth would i do?
I could bring books but im a reallly fast reader… id probably finish the harry potter series on the first one and a half days.
