The letter in the packet says, “Remember to complete the enclosed forms (Acceptance Form, MIT Visiting Student Health Forms, Financial Responsibility and Program Contract) and return them to us BY Wednesday, April 25, 2012.” I think they need to receive it on or before that date, not just postmarked if you physicall mail it (this is my interpretation at least). And the button online, click “accept” for that as well. Not sure if it really matters if you send the forms back, but why not?

I’m probably going to send all of the stuff tomorrow. I’m not yet sure if I’ll email or physically mail it.

Could I fax my forms? I saw the number they listed, but would that number goes directly to them or is it just a general MIT fax number? I don’t want my stuff to get lost. Also, should I fax them the papers over the weekend?

Faxing should be fine, and if you have time this weekend, I would fax them then. If you have further questions you can write to the MITES people (they are really good about returning e-mails), but it should go straight to MITES. The information packet DID list it as an acceptable way to send in the info. They probably will send a confirmation of receipt as well.

I was rejected, but congratulations to everyone who was accepted! If it’s not too much, would any accepted MITES students mind posting stats? I’m just curious.

Is it necessary in snail mail our forms if we either fax them or e-mail them? I am still waiting on my medical forms to come backs and I do not think I will meet the deadline if I send them in through the postal service.

Has anyone who was accepted to MITES receive a confirmation from MITES personnel confirming that they have received all their papers? I sent in all my papers about 3 times through an e-mail and once through fax yesterday, but I still have not received any reply. I might just be paranoid.
