the seniors think i’m crazy for having such a large list of schools
but they’re all so nice… XD

the seniors also were whining about not having any “hooks”. then they looked at me, a first-gen low income female hispanic in STEM and they actually clapped and told me to apply and get “tons of money”

i wish, lol XD honestly though, i only got down to 14 schools. I really really hope I get accepted first semester to avoid all the stress…

I’m just insecure. I’m applying 4 more programs by 4/5 to guarantee a fun summer. if i get no acceptances, my confidence won’t be good for next fall

But that’s just because I go to an ECHS and we have to graduate with an associate’s, so the rest of our classes are all dual-credit college level. We can still take any AP tests that we want, and some of our dual-credit teachers go out of their way to prepare us for them even though they don’t teach AP.

You guys sound all hardcore though, I’m over here thinking I’m badass because I’m taking three AP tests this year (I took one last year) and some of you have already taken like 1000 of them :P

Ok so… I leave for two days, and again this gains like 100 posts. @rivestein. So far I think you are hilarious, slightly creepy but I can be worse. Also I am in a public highschool.

As of right now I am either 3 or 4 in a classs of 782. UW: 3.691 and W: 5.558 (The system here is a little odd). And I take more Dual Enrollment than AP classesn but roughly the same. Moreoever My top choices are MIT, Caltech, Stanford, GeorgiaTech, and Berkeley.

@Rivstein, financial aid and merit makes a private school almost as expensive as public at least for me, why the Mitt Romney reference though? Haha

I like schools that come with “a name”, preferably in a city. Low student/teacher ratio and top 50 on US News national is essential (prefer top 25).

Research University all the way. Anywhere I can get my hands dirty either because I can or the sake of science. And the smaller the student body, the better lol.

I mostly look for quality aerospace and electrical engineering departments. After that I consider their football program and things like the feel of the campus.

@Rivstein I’m a Republican with a dash of Libertarian

I’m a physics major, but I’m thinking about political science for my minor, or maybe even a double-major, if MIT (hopefully I go there) allows it.

I plan to run for office one day. Maybe represent Texas in Congress and run for President one day.

No political alignment. I haven’t much interest in politics.
I’m almost definitely majoring in Neuroscience / Neurobiology, but I just might decide to become a Biomedical Engineering major… I love both (not equally; I LOVE neuroscience more than any other discipline).

Oh, and Leviticus, which part of Texas do you live in? :D
