They see me lurkin’

They hatin’

They see me lurkin’

They hatin’

So is it nearly midnight when all the creeps come out? lol

I feel like this is from a song, but I cannot pinpoint it.

Yea I have to admit I am a creeper sometimes but my intentions are good, I think.
Robotics wasn’t available at our school so I hard to start a club but whatever.
Acadeca is so much fun, going to the state finals competition is even more fun! Acadeca is a good opportunity for 9 creepy kids to bond. :3

wow time flies by so fast…

@Leviticus: You should ask her! Even if the dance is lame, she’d feel special and all the other prom things aren’t so bad. For homecoming, my date and I spent very little time at the dance. We went out to eat and drove to the beach and got ice cream after the dance. It was fun :)

@Cano: I feel like you’re slowing slipping bits and pieces of your resume with every post XD

@Nashia: Start a team! Everyone needs more FIRST teams. Everyone.

yeah, call yourself a creeper. And I thought you weren’t from minecraft.

@Cano That’s decent that you started a club. I am in the process of starting an engineering club. I hope we finally get one by next year. My school is also a bit broke at the moment.

@Hoctopi Thank you. And I’m trying, but they just spent all of our money on ACT prep, which has nearly fried all of our brains. My school’s a little “cray.” Ha!

And what you said about Cano is funny, as well as seemingly true.

@Hoctopi
NO, I am modest creature and don’t intend to clear the water, I intend to remain a creeper. :3
@Cmarquez42
I am not! :3 But I do blow up sometimes… Just when people are too close.
@Nashia Yea I know, getting to start a club in a broke school is kind of hard… I am ashamed to admit it but we got our first kits through selling chips (yea I know… XD) and the rest through the school.

@Nashia:Yeah, your school is totes cray.
Find sponsors, though! Local companies and such are usually pretty willing to donate. Also, you could potentially start the team as a team of the school district rather than of the school. You might be able to get a bit more initial funding that way.

But seriously: I also applied to MITES but was too reluctant to jump into the convo earlier. Just wanted to say everyone here has really great personalities from previous posts and I’d be privileged to see you all in Cambridge.

I just met you… And this is crazy… But I want to see you at MITES (assuming we all get in) :3

@Hoctopi I know this sounds like an excuse, but it’s not. The C.E.O. of my school is the superintendent that ordered for all of this stuff. But… I have been pestering administration and they probably hate me. lol I will not stop either. This is something that I really want, besides MITES.

Assuming…
A lot of people here put me to shame… You have all done things my lazy arse could never do. (Rivstein I’m looking at you.) I’ve been so nervous about getting the fat envelope for the past week that I can’t sleep. I just spent $75 on SAT prep books and the next two months are shaping to be a maelstrom of tests and projects. And I’m burning time reserved for sleep at the keyboard

I do not mean to over-post with frivolous things here so just to quell my curiosity: what are your thoughts on the MITES, E2, and MOSTEC system? Also another thing that is making me nervous is that the application pool is getting pretty large, last year I heard it was around 1600-1700 and the acceptance rate was around 5-6%.

@Cano Post whatever you want. This is a free country. Idk…

Seriously, I’m feeling anxious as well. About E2, I wouldn’t want to go because it’s not MITES, but then I look at this way. Something is better than nothing, which is what a lot of people will get. I will be optimistic and go, but I’d be sad at first. As far as MOSTEC, I’d be very discouraged. If they give me that then they really must have breezed over my application. Honestly, I would not and do not have the time for an online course.

What’s your take on it?

@Nashia1505
Well truthfully as a Hispanic teen I see that I do not have many options for the summer so I will take any that I get. Even with something like MOSTEC I would then be able to also take a math class at a local CC while doing MOSTEC, I guess I would still have time for Linear Algebra or something. I think as long as I get anything from the MITES faculty that would prove sufficient. IDK those are just my thoughts. I would love either MITES or E2 though! :P

When you guys first saw the MITES website did any of you have the urge to redesign/update it or was that just me?

@2roads haha you too?

@lovely maybe I’ll ask her haha I’m sure we’d have fun but it’s just like idk -___- it’s really cool you have the beach though, we have desert, mountains, and a dry river although we have a very nice view of 3 states and 2 countries, especially at night :)
