Sigh…
Yup, website won’t work
Guess I have to keep studying while waiting…
@LePetiPrince I know you are just trying to be supportive, but please don’t say stuff like that. I have a 2400 SAT but no trophies or ten extracurriculars that everyone else here seems to have. But I love learning and learning something new, both at home and at school, and grades are all I’ve got going for me. There exist people on all parts of the spectrum, and though the “grades don’t matter” thing may relieve some people, some hearts sink a little more when they hear that none of what they’d thought they accomplished matters.
I was rejected…
I am having a really bad day. First I can’t take Calculus at my community college because even though I’ve done the prerequisite in high school in HONORS (because they don’t have AP Precalc), Im not getting a high enough accuplacer score, so I don’t know what to do over the summer.

THEN THE OVERWATCH BETA I HAVE HAD SERIOUS LAG ISSUES AND CRASHED. FML.
I was probably rejected, but congrats to those of you who were admitted!
I didn’t get in.
@782593795238, you’re not getting what I’m trying to say my friend. I said they aren’t everything not they dont mean anything. You have your 2400 SAT but that’s not all you have. You have your love of learning and that’s worth more than any 2400 SAT score in my opinion. Keep pursuing what you love and don’t let anything stop you.Stop undermining yourself, you have so much time ahead of you and if you keep pursuing what you love then that will be a bigger reward than a trophy. Take it from me I dont have 10 EC’s or an award, but like you I have something I look forward to every morning when I wake up.
I didn’t get in either. Oh well…
@Cheeselover012 Just curious, why aren’t you taking calculus your senior year? And would an online calculus course through another program be an option?
In a turn of events, i was actually accepted into MITES…the hours put into constantly revising my essays paid off
I got in. I’m crying tears of joy. Im speechless.
Rejected.
All the kids that got in probably deserved it more than I did, so I’m not too upset. Thankfully I had backup plans, so I know my summer won’t be all that boring. To everyone that got into any of the programs, congrats!!
Got into MOSTEC. I’m so surprised!!!
Rejected
Congrats everyone else!
First choice was MITES (and so was, like, 90% of the people who applied) but I got into MOSTEC! As first I was upset, but once I found out how many of my fellow classmates were rejected I became much more grateful for the opportunity to participate in this program. I am so ready for the rigor. See you all in August!
MOSTEC got in.
I guess I feel okay although my first choice was MITES. Amazing job, everyone who got it! And for those that didn’t, no worries! This is only the beginning!
Which is considered more selective mostec or E2?
Literally my exact thought
It doesnt fit in my schedule as its double blocked. community college was the only other option.
Rejected. Not very surprised. Cried for a bit, though.
I’m so scared to do MITES. I didn’t expect to get in so it never crossed my mind of what it would be like if I got in. It’s ironic because I wrote an entire essay for the app of how I would imagine it to be there. I’m in an existential crisis. Excited for the rigor, but scared of not fitting in.
