I found it helpful to search by color on the websites that offer that option. For colors in the same tone as wine I’d search red, pink and purple. I found that what one calls a color varies from site to site or brand to brand.
We may all think that navy is all season but if the bride doesn’t agree.
I just did a google search for “sage and navy dresses” or something like that - I didn’t take the time to distinguish the actual “green”. Regardless, navy also goes with YOUR sage green dress and IMO has a more classic look, and doesn’t fight for attention with the sage - which I think a coral or peach look would.
All depends what the OP of this question wants! (and the bride!)
I was thinking perhaps a print or flowered dress which would be more springlike and disguise body bumps more than a solid color. And I was thinking primary tone of wine/burgundy with green in the print. Alas, I couldn’t find anything quickly (except casual styles). But it might be out there!
@BunsenBurner Yes, I had read that, but think it might be worth a try with beige, muted peach, or mauve. I also think dark blue or navy might work. I also included one floral dress.
My step-daughter was in a wedding within the last couple of weeks and wore that “sage green” dress as a brides maid. (There were multiple choices of dress, but all the same color. On my iphone (picture of her and a friend in their dresses) the color looks much different than the color on my ipad (your picture).
Yeah I’m sure “sage” varies per designer? This was just a quick grab and they call it sage and it’s what I think of as sage. Can you describe the difference?
On my phone, what was ordered as “sage” green looks “mint” green.
On my ipad, the picture you posted looks like what I think of as “sage” green, and what I think her dress looked like “in person.”
It is so hard to tell on various electronic devices. I’ve ordered things and been really surprised by what they looked like on-line vs when I received them.
