I wanted to be a marine biologist. Then I did a job shadow in sixth grade and realized that I was absolutely terrified of fish and threw up in the food prep room.

^^^ hahaha, cute, that makes me think of this

at one point i wanted to be an engineer or fashion designer. now i want to be a photographer and do neuroscience research as a hobby...

I wanted to be president and go to Harvard law school...

now I want to be a set designer and go to Cooper Union for art.

YEAHGURL! 5% acceptance rate wont stop anyone!

you could always have harvard as your safety...

I wanted to be a teacher. Oh how times have changed.

the very first thing i wanted to be when i was in like first grade was an archaeologist. in fifth grade i probably wanted to be a doctor and now i don't know what i wanna be, but my top choice since fifth grade was always UM ann arbor.

I used to want to be a comic artist or web page designer. That sounds like fun, but I couldn't dedicate my life to either.

what do you want to dedicate your life to now?

True, true. (Your last sentence is hilarious btw, still laughing!) But there's always THE POTENTIAL to make a lot of money in law.. But you're right, I must admit.. Same goes for economics/business majors (McKinseys and Goldman Sachs hire EVERY Ivy grad?!).. But some end up a fortune 500-CEO (or jobless, for that matter, Lehman)..

Oh, definitely. Scarsdale and the Jewish Community have definitely shown that Law can earn you mucho monies, an estate in Westchester, two perfect kids, and a nanny that speaks drips and drabs of English. But, that sort of dedication/caring, I don't have. I'd be the first to advocate dumping toxic chemicals in Poland Spring's water supply.

I also, wholeheartedly, agree with Economics/Business. In fact, that is my plan B. I -hope- to go Northeastern for 5 years. You know, do the whole co-op program, get some experience. If I don't make it somewhere in Boston, I'll come back home to New York and perhaps try for an MBA out of NYU.

Part of me wants to just further my education indefinitely. I love knowledge. It's so weird how times have changed, too. You were amazing if you sat on a stone and thought all day in Ancient Greece. But, now, if you sit outside and think all day, you'll be viewed as borderline insane and as a homeless bum. Complete opposites. :(

True - unless you strike gold and are that one wayward soul with a brilliant mind that comes up with some really genius ****.

When I was in 5th grade, I wanted to be a Marine Biologist, then in like 7th I wanted to be a computer graphics artist. Now I want to be a chemical/materials engineer. Always science/techie though

I wanted to be a professional baseball player, but I never played baseball so it didn't work out.

Archaeologist, undoubtedly.

I watched more documentaries about dinosaurs on the Discovery Channel than most people will watch in their entire lives. And to be honest, this is quite an understatement, given most people don't even watch one.

Hmmm..I wanted to be like 5 things. I thought I'd have a different job each day of the week or something so I wouldn't get bored! haha

I wanted to be: Fashion designer, interior designer, actress, artist, dancer

hahhhaha.

In fifth grade, I wanted to be a geologist. True story.
Admittedly, I thought all geologists did was look at pretty rocks all day long.

I always said I wanted to be an entomologist.

No joke.

I think I wanted to be either an astronaut or an Air Force pilot.

3rd grade - engineer
4th/5th grade - pokemon trainer
6th - 11th grade - Astronomer
12th grade - engineer or physicist, not sure
--yeah, I wanted to be an astronomer for a loooong time...

When I grow up, I wanna be famous, wanna be a star, wanna have groupies

(I just died a little inside, but it had to be said)

haha, like my momma always told me, marry rich.
