mommy, when i grow up...

what did everyone want to be when they were little? lets say...5th grade?

i wanted to be either an industrial designer or a chemist. MIT was my dream school and i wanted to live in switzerland.

I honestly can't remember what I wanted to do/be.

I wanted to go to Harvard, but that's because in fourth grade my mmom rubbed in the DO YOU WANT TO WORK AT A STORE ALL YOUR LIFE LIKE ME?! OR DO YOU WANT TO GO TO HARVARD! lecture about doing my homework, so I was kind of brainwashed into that one.

I think at the point I wanted to be a professional trumpet player, or maybe into journalism. I'm not sure anymore. Fifth grade kind of sucked for me.

I told my parents and other people that I had NO idea what I wanted to become when I grew up but secretly, I always always knew I wanted to become a doctor when I grew up- I'm going to be pre-med next year!

:) i hope its everything you wished for

A writer... which is what I still want to be.

I wanted to be like, a dinosaur. Then an astronaut. Then a Pokemon trainer.

A lawyerrr. I'd still pursue it, if the pay wasn't such ****.

A pokemon trainer! Hilarious!

Oke my list:

4 years old: Water (don't ask)
5 years old: Detective
7 years old: Rich ( I know.) (I must have seen the Richie Rich christmas marathon or
something)
9 years old: Writer
12 years old: Economics(!!)/Business/Politics/Law-something

You can make a hell of a lot of money being a lawyer, monoclide!
You have to be a good one though and in, say, corporate law..

Or did I miss the sarcasm once again?

i knew i was destined to be this hotshot investment banker....how times change

I think I was the only kid who didn't know what they wanted to be.
As of now, not much as changed. I'm teetering between a lawyer, a journalist, a writer, astronomer, software engineer, a marine biologist, a teacher

No sarcasm.

Actually - I wanted to go into Corporate Law. But, let's face some facts - the starting wage is not all that great (especially if it's as hard as people make it out to be), there are a billion lawyers in New York, and I am not the most law-abiding citizen. I'd probably end up making 130,000 while getting myself caught in a anti-humanitarian, 250,000,000 scam that will land me a cute jail cell next to Barry the child rapist. Not fun.

In 5th grade, I wanted to go to Harvard Law (I wasn't sure about undergrad, but I knew I wanted to go to Harvard for Law School) and eventually become the first female president.

I wanted to go to Caltech and be a roller coaster engineer... now my brother is actually doing that, and I'm going to do econ most likely...

In 5th grade I sort of wanted to be just like my father. Go to Tuskegee and become a chemical engineer. Then my sister who lives in Tuskegee had a baby and I started to go down there a lot and I realized how much I hated it. There's nothing there.

A playwright, with some politics on the side :)

I wanted to be a writer. Oh, wait, I still want to be a writer. Cool.

True, true. (Your last sentence is hilarious btw, still laughing!) But there's always THE POTENTIAL to make a lot of money in law.. But you're right, I must admit.. Same goes for economics/business majors (McKinseys and Goldman Sachs hire EVERY Ivy grad?!).. But some end up a fortune 500-CEO (or jobless, for that matter, Lehman)..

In fifth grade a wanted to be a billionaire with a degree from Georgetown, and have a career in politics and gov. Still do.... planning on being one of those elite rich white guys...... :D

I wanted to be a professional athlete. That still hasn't changed, but it ain't exactly looking promising
