The classic question: what do you want to be when you "grow up"?
Do you guys have any idea of your future career?

[Me, without the dying part.](Chris McCandless - Wikipedia)

Or a writer or journalist.

When I grow up, I want to be famous; I want to be a star; I want to be in movies.

I’ll probably go into economics/finance/international business. But I don’t have a job description planned yet.

It would be really awesome to be a travel photographer. But I want to actually make money.

A wedding planner… But if I’m in a realistic mood, a biomedical or chemical engineer… lol

Detective, of course!

But that’s totally not realistic.

I always hated this question when I was little, and still hate it now. How in the world am I suppose to be realistic and answer what I want to do? It’s more of a question for a college student.

Once, a co-worker of my dad asked me this question (I was 10), and I told him I don’t know. Then the guy gave me a lecture on how I am going to fail in life because I don’t know what I’m going to become when I grow up, and I am already 10 years old. Then he bragged to me that his son (who was 7) and is determined to be a fire fighter.

Another thing bugs me about this question is that sometimes little kids gives really freaky answers. Like a three year old telling you he wants to become a lawyer or nuclear engineer. I’m not saying that these kids can’t, it’s just that how can a three year old understand what a lawyer or nuclear engineer does. And somehow these lawyer/nuclear engineer determined kids are supposely going to be the most successful.

Haha the first thing I thought of also. Stupid song’s way too overplayed on the radio.

In all seriousness, probably some type of engineer.

^ Parents think that they’ll become successful because they are supposedly driven. They apparently have goals (as if the parents didn’t influence these “goals” at all…).

Astronautical engineering sounds fun. If that doesn’t work, I could always work in the defense department or an airline or automobile firm.

omg, I thought of that too! but actually, I will be in the Foreign Service, work in the State Dept, or something like that… Politics :D

Ideally, I would be Secretary of the Treasury or Chairwoman of the Federal Reserve. But I would be cool with being a professor, lawyer, or almost any position in the Fed. I’ll probably go into business/personal financial advising for a while first, but I’m not planning to stay there.

Hmmmm, a field biologist or some sort of on-site trauma surgeon. Certain branches of physics also appeal to me. Ideally I’d like to have a very science-oriented job where I can learn a lot and be outside. I dread being stuck indoors for extended periods of time…

Chairwoman of the Federal Reserve? I hope your a 4.0 student…

I’m contemplating whether I should be a radiologist; I know I want to get into the medical field.

I am grown up… what am I now?

computer science and business and law = Bachelor in computer science and Masters in law and business (MBA)

A child/adolescent Psychiatrist or a cardiothoracic surgeon :D

I want to own a 5-Star hotel.

Surgeon? Maybe? Some kind of doctor. Probably. Hopefully.

Hmm. Glances at username How about an elasmobranch researcher?! That sounds like fun. Freediving with sharks, studying their biology, tracking them, watching the flying great whites breach, all that fun stuff that would terrify my mom.

As of right now, I really want to be a teacher

A kid again

Architect :)
