Imagine I'm a n00b (I know, it's hard to imagine me as my antithesis :b)
We are chatting on AIM/facebook chat

You: I saw this sketchy dude at the gas station
Mapleleafs26: LMAO!!!1!!111one!11

OR

You: My car ran out of windshield wiper fluid
Mapleleafs26: ROFL!!!111!!11one!1

LMAO is more commonly used? Therefore its not really annoying I guess as opposed to ROFL.

I prefer LOL or LAWL followed with “wow”

Rofl

I have yet to see someone roll on the floor laughing “irl.” Until then, it is more annoying.
That said, I guess I have never said someone laugh their ass off.

I expect non-English speakers would find that idiom confusing

Anytime I see “LMAO,” in my head, I always pronounce it as “lame-o.”

^^ Haha, same.

I pronounce rofl “Raw-ful”, so it is more annoying.

^^I’m always like El Mao (as in the Chinese dictator in Spanish)

^^^^^I do that too. I hate txting sum1 when they keep saying LMAO, so that one bothers me more. It just bugs me

What are your feelings regarding lolercopter?

haha I’ve only heard roflcopter. lolercopter, because of it’s rarity, would strike me as strange and foreign, and not altogether pleasant :)

^hahahahahha :D

that hair…epic fail

I do this ALL the time. Or, at least I fall down on the floor laughing. I don’t necessarily roll. Just collapse.

^My laugh is said to be pretty weird…‘Patrick’ says i sound like a dying goose and ‘Taylor’ says I sound like a donkey…However I have 3 other friends with the SAME laugh…sigh I like being different ;)

roflmao.

Now how super annoying is that?

Not particularly annoying.

lawl is annoying.

^lawl looks like it has a Southern drawl attached to it. Reminds me of Miley Cyrus. Ugh.
