More prep books= higher ap scores??

I really can't decide which one textbook I should buy for AP Calculus AB/BC and APES...

For AP Calculus AB/BC, I heard that these books are good:

Arco(Peterson's), Princeton Review

For APES, I heard that smarty pants is good.

Should I also get other books as well that have good amazon ratings?? Should I get the newest barrons version for APES? How is this book for AP Calc?: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/customer-reviews/0972705554/ref=cm_cr_dp_all_helpful/102-5609948-2717709?ie=UTF8&coliid=I3KB8PSBCS12A8&n=283155&colid=1CHAA6LUWNP97#customerReviews

Please someone help me decide... lol

Last year i bought PR for mainly Calc BC since it was the first year the class was taught and we were running out of time for the BC topics. skimmed over it and got a 5 for AB and BC. Additionally i went out on a limb and bought 5 steps to a 5 for physics B which isn't popular on the boards here, but had awesome ratings on amazon, and received the first 5 at my school in like 7 years =P. So with either of the books you'll be fine.

I used Peterson's I found that the practice test MCs contained similar problems to the ones found on an old AP Calculus test. I think it was the 1998 test, they just modified the numbers.

I used this book and got a 5 on the BC test with an AB subscore of 5

Downside: sometimes they will put "ex" when they mean "e^x" but most times you can easily see that they mean "e^x". Other exponential errors like this also occur.

Oh yeah, these are review books, not textbooks.
