Ucsd>>>>uci

neck and neck???!!! no they're NOT!!!

if you saw the cnn article then you know that La Jolla is the MOST EXPENSIVE HOUSING MARKET IN THE COUNTRY!!

Irvine isn't even in the top 10 for CALIFORNIA!!

This is....painful....

I just can't laugh...its just so......so.......shocking that one could think this that.....

...that it hurts my brain.....

....can I sue for damages?

"Are you planning on being the starting quarterback for UCD and eventually get drafted to the NFL or something? Wow I guess you do have big dreams."

No dude, I just love being part of a spirited campus. UCD is awesome in that regard and everyone loves to come out for the games. The Aggie Pack is awesome. UCD has 26 D1 sports teams. I visited UCSD and attended a basketball game. No one even came, and the spirit was just not there. It is a beautiful school with great academics, just not for me. I love sports, especially football.
Go Ags!

I wish SD had more D1 in the important 'school spirit' sports =\

We'd easily be better than UCLA with a D1 Football team (or even Basketball) and a bit more spirit...

Agreed
10 char

wayytooworried, sd being better than ucla basketball is ridiculous.

ucla ball is arguably the most storied basketball program in the nation.

The day that UCSD is better than UCLA at basketball is the day that there's actually hot girls at UCSD.

^Here's some info about happens to a person when he/she developed Triton eyes.

HAHAHAHAHA...hilarious!! "triton eye"??? wt f??!!! hahahaha

and i think you guys misunderstood wayyytooworried. i think he meant UCSD would be better as a school (as a whole) with a D1 football OR basketball team. i don't think he meant that a SD basketball team would be better than a LA basketball team

I think that is exactly what the waytooworried dude meant. Well no shortage of hot girls at UCD. I have never seen so many hot girls in one place like I saw at the academic advising. Excellent academics, great sports, cool parties, and hot chicks. Yes, UCD is the place for me.

well thats pretty cool that you found a college you like so much.

my friend completely hated it there though...she had a bunch of mean things to say about it :/ haha. she's going there anyway.

1)UCLA
2)UCSD
3)UCSB
4)UCB

These are the ones i have seen. I went to UCB today, didn't realize it took less than an hour to get there from my house. I disliked the surounding area, but the campus was nice.

IMO, UCSD has the most beautiful campus. (beach, beautiful architecture) However, to the posters above who claim that UCSD is in a significantly better neighborhood than UCI, i dont agree. UCI is located right on the border of Irvine and Newport Beach. Infact portions of UCI overlaps in to Newport Beach. According to Forbes richest zip codes, Newport Beach is the third wealthiest neighborhood, whereas Rancho Santa Fe (near UCSD) is number second. Both schools are surrounded by some of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the country. And the average proporty value of these neighborhoods are all roughly around 2 mil. There are neighborhoods in San Diego that are quite ghetto and areas in orange county that are ghetto as well(westminster). Irvine isn't as nice as La Jollla, but its not exactly the ghettos. South Orange County is definitely one of the wealthiest areas in the country, in fact, 7 zip codes on forbes top 50 list is in close proximity of UCI.

Pilotacct, I don't want to lecture you and tell you that you're wrong dude, BUT you are wrong. Please read the entire thread before you comment on something that has already been dealt with using facts:

dude dude dude

anyway. i think ucsd's campus is ugly. that's right i said it. the area is nice but the campus itself isn't so hot. don't even get me started on the dorms. pfft.

hey ;);), sup???

UCSD is probably the cleanest campus and in the best area, but it's also the quietest; on the weekends it almost a cemetery.
