yup like it says, what is the most number of credits that a student can take.

I am not a prospective student and have been told the norm is 15 or 5 classes at 3 each per semester. But I have met students taking 25. So what is going on over there Mcgill? how many can one reasonably take?

I think the limit is 18 ( or 6 courses). However, you can take more if you can convince your adviser that you can cope up with that much pressure.

Reasonably- take 15 which is more than some people can handle.

The norm is 12-15 credits per term, which translates to 4-5 courses per term; however, in some cases, like mine, I'm taking 5 courses (BIOL 111, CHEM 110, PHYS 101, MATH 150, PSYC 100), but I've maxed out at 18 credits.

Even though it's recommended that first years only take 4 courses their first term, one would probably be fine with 5. I would also be strongly against taking 6 courses in a term, specifically if you're in classes with a lot of reading and writing i.e. English Lit majors.
