Overrated: HYPS/Name-brand schools
Underrated: ALL LACs</p>
<p>I like turtles.</p>
<p>What makes this so very hard is that the reputation of some schools changes in a continuous circadian cycle. For example, depending on whether it is Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday, the University of Chicago is underrated, underrated, overrated, underrated, overrated, overrated, or underrated, respectively.</p>
<p>Maybe not overrated, but I can tell you this about Wake Forest - Winston-Salem is not a place you want to spend ANY amount of time in your life living in, let alone 4 or more years. Don’t believe any claim they make of being in a great location. And especially don’t believe that they’re “steps away from downtown,” downtown is 5 miles away, and like with most things in this city you’ll have to drive there due to a lack of good public transportation, bike lanes, or very many sidewalks.</p>

<p>Not always true. I’ll happily say that Guilford College is probably the most underrated LAC in the Southeast, even though they deferred me.</p>
