<p>Wesley College and Delaware State don't quite meet my definition of "selective".</p>

<p>Christopher Newport appears to be missing from Virginia - per College Board's website, CNU has 25th to 75th percentile ranges of 550-630 for verbal and 540-620 for math. I'm too lazy to look up the overall figures from IPEDS, but CNU has become very popular with Virginia students in recent years and has risen to compete with UMW and JMU for student selectivity.</p>

<p>Also, is Bates missing from Maine b/c they are SAT optional?</p>

<p>I can't explain how I missed Christopher Newport. Bates does not report SAT scores.</p>

<p>California is rich in public universities. New England is rich in private universities. New York is the only state with two Ivies. PA has lots of great liberal arts colleges. I am not sure which state I'd choose for best set of colleges and universities.</p>
