Motivation to study

I have to admit, my study habits are pretty crappy. I'll be a rising High School senior this year. I'm a bright student, but I can't study for the life of me! Every now and then I try and focus on long term goals I'm trying to achieve, but about 1 week later I lose the motivation I struggled to garner. I honestly want to stop this terrible habit now.

After homework, I find excuses not to study for SAT I and II and AP tests. I've tried sticking to a study schedule in the past but I always find an excuse to skip a day here and there and it really starts to add up. I really can't take this problem into the next school year, as I need to study for SAT Chem and MATH 2 and take the test and pass with at least a 780 in 3 months. How should I go about it this time around? I'm on my knees here! :/

^Bump. Any feedback is appreciated!

Try a less ambitious study schedule? Like every day (or 6 days a week) give SATs 10 minutes, Subjects 10 each, something that adds up to no more than a half hour?

D is doing 15 minutes a day between now and fall SAT and it’s working pretty well. She’s simply working through the blue book for now, later she may add some online practice tests and do a full-length practice or two, timed, closer to then.

Sometimes I think we all just bite off more than we want to chew over time. Start small.

^ Thank you! I’ll give it a shot :)
