mowed grass vs mown grass--ahhh!

D is in the final draft of her essay. One of her sentences reads like this:

"I walk through freshly mowed grass that looks like....."

or

"I walk through freshly mown grass that looks like....."

Which is grammatically correct? Or if both, which sounds better?

Thanks.

thanks! We are going with the mown grass!

It’s interesting that her essay is in the present tense!

Never thought about that before. She talks about herself in the past and then it talks about who she is today using the present tense.
