MPulse Musical Theatre Workshop 2012

Did scholarship info also com in that email?

@ejfmt13-my D is also a junior this year that did not get into MPulse last year. I heard that there were so many applicants last year they only took juniors. Email acceptances went out Mar 14 but the “no” letters were sent by mail. We received our letter in the mail Mar 28. This year my D applied to both BTP and MPulse. If you see postings of acceptance emails for MPulse and you do not receive one, send in the deposit to BTP. That is what we are planning on doing. D’s deposit is due to BTP Mar 30.

3daughters, that sounds like a good plan. If anyone does hear from Mpulse,
please, please post and let us know if you heard yes or no via email or mail.
Then we all can get on with the summer plans! I wish the wait was not so
long! Thanks for all the info out there!

Will do! We did not get the reject letter last year until March 30 but we are on the west coast so the mail takes longer. I remember that the acceptance posts were at least a week before that so i knew it was a reject so I had paid BTP already.

The accepted kids are supposed to hear by 3/15.
I’m not 100% sure but that’s what “a little birdie” told me:)!!!
Let’s hope so because we are waiting to let two other programs know and are running out of time.

Did that birdie say it would come via email?
I am assuming that acceptances will come via email and if
you do not get an email, then expect the rejection notice
in the mail a week later. If anyone knows of anyone who got
accepted via snail mail last year, please post!
Thanks for your help!
chirp chirp :)

Does anybody know who receives the email? I know my son put his email as the contact but I received a cc on the confirmation of the application. Thanks

@maggie1962-just to clarify…you received confirmation of receipt of the application, not the audition materials that needed to be uploaded afterwards, correct? I received confirmation of receipt of only the application. I want to make sure that we are not missing anything.

Yes. I only received confirmation of application. I was wondering if they sent out emails for acceptance to parents as well. Sorry for the confusion.

I’m not sure but I would assume that the acceptances will come via email and the no’s via regular mail on the 30th. Similar to last year’s process. I only received confirmation of the original application but did confirm that everything was received with the Mpulse office. They did not send out additional confirmations for the uploaded material. The confirmation from Citizen Groove was all that you should have received aside from the original application confirmation. Good Luck to everyone waiting!

Thanks for reassuring me that I was not missing a confirmation. Good luck to everyone waiting. I hope the “little birdie” visits you all on the 15th! I know the waiting is difficult!

We just got the acceptance email!!!

My son was also accepted. Congratulations! Now to decide which one…

Congrats to those receiving acceptances! It is a very exciting time. I remember getting my acceptance to MPulse a year ago today. Get ready for you/your child to have the summer of their lives, and then be prepared for an extremely stressful, but ultimately rewarding year of college applications/auditions. I learned so much during my time at U of M, things I will carry with me through my college and professional careers.

qjo2882, who teach the classes At MPulse? Is Mark Madama there? What is a day like?

One of my students just received an acceptance email! Congratulations to all :)

My son was accepted. I guess the “birdie” was right!
Congratulations to everyone who gets a spot this year.

Haven’t heard anything yet.

The email says we have to let them know by Monday, so there will probably be more acceptances after that (if people decline).

Yes huge congratulations!! Just found out another one of my students was accepted and this student is only a sophmore :)
