MSU Spring 2013 Transfer Chances

I posted another thread on the MSU thread, but here are my stats. I would like to transfer to MSU ASAP:

I go to Clark University (in MA) and want to double major in Bio and Psych (almost done with Psych)
Out of state (TX)
GPA: 2.88
Junior (19.75 hours in total; the credit system might be different)

I'm not sure if it matters at this point, but I got a 1760 on the SAT.
I joined Student Council and am currently doing work study. I also have Summer job experience, and am Latino. I speak French, Spanish, and have taken Japanese and Chinese courses. I don't know if that would help me. I was also president of a club in high school and was in student council as well.

The problem is that I already transferred once. What are my chances? I also want to do grad school there.

Someone please help me…I’m in desperate need.

Well I’m an amateur at this stuff too, but I can try to advise you with what little I know.
(I’m a freshman in college, so I don’t know how valuable my advise is)

Your GPA is kind of low so do u plan on taking any classes before transferring so it will increase?

MSU is ranked #71 according to US News and UA is ranked #75.

Based on these rankings, my friend got into UA with an ACT score of 24 which is the same as your SAT score. But he got in as a freshman into college and not as a transfer student so I don’t know if the same would have applied.

However, your job experience and linguistic capability will help you.

Even as a freshman, your advise and help is still very much appreciated. Thank you. Someone else please chance me!

Also yes, I am currently taking classes and will work hard to increase my GPA. It went up about .5 points from last semester. However, I’m not sure if the admissions office will even be able to see my GPA from this semester, as I am sending my application very soon.

Ok, I replied to your thread on the MSU page but I just looked through your post history.

You don’t seem to be happy wherever you go. You can’t just keep jumping from school to school accumulating loans with a bad GPA. This is a recipe for disaster. You need to take a year off, work, figure out exactly what you want to do and then go to an AFFORDABLE school wherever your home state is.

Bump. Anyone have more suggestions?
