According to a current UArts MT freshman, the class started with 45 total but is less now. She said there are “way more girls than boys” and currently there are 12 boys in the freshman class. She didn’t have an exact number for the remaining MT girls. That’s probably as exact as we are going to get for University of the Arts!

Temple University’s Class of 2024 has 24 (15 boys and 9 girls) as of today.
Saw that on somebody’s banner today, @lovetoact ! An unusually --and refreshingly-- boy-heavy class!
Baldwin Wallace incoming class will be heavier M vs F this year as well- I believe it will be announced after tomorrow as 12-13 boys & 9-10 fems.
I agree @tsamique that more boys is refreshing!
I also am hoping for more final decision stories after tomorrow
Anybody know numbers for University of Alabama - Birmingham or Florida Southern?
I never saw an update post for Class of 2024 so adding this here.
University of Miami’s BFA MT Class of 2024: 19 (7 women, 12 men)
Good luck to those waiting to hear about the Class of 2025. I heard from my S that they were told that this year was a record number of applicants and auditions for Miami.
does anybody know numbers for manhattanville
hey! i have no idea if anyone ever checks this thread anymore or if this information is super widely available, but just in case it might be useful uab shoots for a class of 12.
i also don’t know the gender breakdown but syracuse aims for an mt class of 23
To provide a little context:
The New Studio on Broadway at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts is one of ten professional training drama studios. There are at least a dozen performing arts degrees and a dozen minors offered at Tisch; hence Tisch is a supportive arts community among still other academic offerings at NYU, including those at NYU’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.
While the New Studio on Broadway is around 65 students, my DD’s coursework at NYU includes private (i.e., one-on-one) vocal training, and all her other studio work have a class size of between 12 and 15 students per class.
Therefore, the actual class size is comparable to most other programs if not on the slightly smaller size. I hope this additional context is helpful to people trying to understand NYU’s offering.
UW Stevens Point’s MT BFA is 14-16 per year. I havent seen them stray from this number in the last 4-6 years.
