Hang in there TheatreMom! My thoughts are with you and all who are waiting for their positive letters! Just remember to tell your kids "When one door closes, another one opens." We have seen this firsthand in our house over and over.

Our Daughter is graduating from Muhlenberg in 8 weeks! The past 4 years flew by so quickly. Sara is graduating with majors in both theatre and communications. She recieved a very strong academic and "hands on" education at Muhlenberg. Last week was a very exciting week. Sara was admitted to masters programs in Broadcast Journalism at Syracuse (Newhouse) and Emerson. If anyone has any questions about Muhlenberg, I can try to answer them.

Sahusmom, yes, you are so right. I do use that adage with my daughter (and myself!) often. Sometimes we really do have to be reminded of it, but it is so true. Thank you.

Acceptance letter arrived today!!!

congrats to Theatremom's D!!!!Yeah!!!!!!

Finally a smile on my daughter's face! It is sure nice that they put that "You're In" star on the front of the envelope so you don't have to sit and wait for you child to come home to know what it says.

Congrats to your daughters!

Pohsmom, congratulations!

congrats to Pohsmom's D!!!!!Yeah!!!!!;)

Still nothing here in Arkansas! CONGRATS TO Pohsmom's D!

My son received an acceptance yesterday. That "You're In" on the envelope is a cute touch! Good luck to all.

I mentioned this on another thread, but if you know your kids are going to go to Muhlenberg, try to make your reservations for parent's weekend now, if you intend to go. You can get the dates from the school's website (I'd know them, except my D will be in London next fall, so I will hopefully spend my parent's weekend there!)

Hi everyone! This is my first post here. I have been watching and observing for a while and my s acceptance to Muhlenberg yesterday pushed me into partaking. He was so excited yesterday to finally hear. He is still waiting to hear from some other MT programs but would be happy to attend Muhlenberg should it pan out to be "the one". We too are from the midwest. Thanks for all your help in even discovering this jewel of a school.

42nd Street Mom - Isn't the lead in 42nd Street from Allentown ?? Is your name just a coinsidence with your s's aceptance to Muhlenberg ?? Just wondering ..........

You know your theater! My s was Julian Marsh last year in the production of 42nd Street in his theater group. At the time we did not know exatly where Allentown was not did we imagine that he might be going to school there. Maybe it was a little forshadowing.

^^^ so cute. Ya know, everytime I read "Allentown" here, my mind immediately goes to the song in 42nd Street (a musical I have always really enjoyed).

I've never seen 42nd Street, so when I hear Allentown, my mind always goes to Billy Joel, although I've heard the song was not really about Allentown, but Bethlehem and the decline of the steel industry.

congrats to 42ndstreetmom's S!!!! yeah!!!!! ;) Welcome to CC. And break a leg for your other schools!!! That is for all who are also still waiting for their April 1st decisions. My D included!

I am originally from Allentown. Muhlenberg is beautiful campus in a nice area of town. Yes, Billy Joel made it famous. As previously mentioned, the song referred more to the entire Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton Area; specifically the closing of Bethlehem Steel. Since then most of the production of Mack Trucks has also left the area. Billy Joel performed in the area often in the very early 1970's before he became really famous. Just a little more trivia.

Congrats to everyone!!! We are still waiting for our letter here in NJ. I don't know who is more stressed me or my D. However some of the stress was relieved yesterday when she received an acceptance letter to the Hartt school for a BFA in MT (25 out of 350), so she always has that to fall back on even thought Muhlenberg is where she would love to go.....

We will keep running to the mail box....
