Multicultural vs. Spotlight Weekend??

I'm psyched to get in and I really want to visit- but did anyone get both? I got the Olin Business School Spotlight Weekend invitation and the Multicultural Weekend one within the last week and I don't know which one to go to. Can someone please tell me the differences and tell me which one I should go to? Thanks!

Our DD got two invitations too - one for MW (4 days) and the other from College of Arts and Sciences (3 days). Both are full expenses paid. She is leaning towarding the CAS one right now.

I'm in both of your positions. Except i'm going up art weekend and multicultural weekend.

Parents think I should go up for both because I was invited? Also, I RSPV'd for MW Saturday and got my art one today...soooo I suppose I'm going to both

Im going to both Spotlight & MW. My parents are coming to Olin with me because its more specific to what i'm going to be doing for the next 4 years. MW is more of a chance (from what I understand) to see the different multicultural groups on campus and have fun and meet people. So that's exactly why I'm going to both. One weekend will be more academic/yet fun in nature while the other one I have a chance to see how I can get involved in campus

My children in the past went to both. For parents, the multicultural weekend is better to get the whole idea of Wash U. The same program that runs for parents during the Spotlight runs on the Multicultural Weekend as well and they can visit all the classes, not only the business ones.

Do parents normally come to these weekends ? My d was invited for the art weekend, and we're leaning towards sending her solo. It's all expenses paid for her, but if a parent comes, it starts getting expensive.

Also the agenda did not look like it was oriented towards parents....

Some do, I would say (just a guess) no more than 30%, but I don't know about the art weekend.
During Multicultural Weekend, parents can visit some classes (only 100 and 200 level), and they have tours in every school.

It seems like people are going to both and bringing their parents to either one of them. The Spotlight Weekend actually has a schedule set out for parents too, with the meals, tours, lectures and everything planned out. But there's a lot of "free time" and my mom has no idea what to do during this "free time". Is it the same for MW?

There is a coffee shop in the library you can hang out in and read a book or the newspaper.

There is a large mall called the St. Louis Galleria really closeby if you have a car or are willing to pay for taxi back and forth.

You could go for a walk in the lovely park next to campus. There's an art museum there.

If you're there on a Saturday or Sunday you can have tea at the Ritz but you need a reservation:
