Multivariable calculus or AP Stats

<p>I'm currently a junior in AP Calculus BC and I'm not doing so well in this class. In hindsight, I probably should have taken AB first. </p>

<p>Anyways, I got a C as my first semester grade and I'm scared to sign up for Multivariable Calculus/Linear Algebra. And I studied really hard for only a C. So I'm asking, is it easier or harder than BC? And should I sign up for it? I'm confident that I can pass the actual AP exam though. </p>

<p>Another reason I'm leaning towards AP stat is because it's weighted. I'm also aiming for UVA/Georgetown. </p>

<p>My other senior classes are
Dual Enrollment English Honors
AP Comparative and US Government
AP Physics C </p>

<p>Possibly (I need to choose 3 of below; still undecided)
AP Micro/macro (economics class is required, but maybe I'll take it as a regular course over the summer to get it over with)
Korean 3
Korean 4
AP Computer Science (I'm genuinely interested in this class as a potential major) </p>

<p>Well if you do well in the calc class, it will look highly on you! If not, it could look badly. Ap stats will not look as good but maybe the safer route.</p>

I think multivariable is somewhat easier because it’s basically just calculus I already learned, except in three dimensions. Stuff is harder to visualize, though. I wouldn’t recommend taking it if you can’t get an A or a B in Calculus BC…you need to have a decent understanding of the stuff you learned there to do well in multivariable.
Linear algebra doesn’t involve calculus (well, you can use it for problems that involve calculus, but you probably won’t see any calculus in a linear algebra class), and it’s easier than calculus for some people. </p>
