<p>I'm currently on staff for the high school conference in January, and was on staff for the college conference last month. Did you have a specific question? </p>
<p>As for general info, the Model UN club (as in both how to be on staff for Penn's conferences or to participate as part of Penn's teams at other college conferences) is run by the International Affairs Association (<a href="http://www.penn-iaa.org)%5B/url%5D">www.penn-iaa.org)</a>. Membership to the club is open to the entire student body, but positions on the secretariat (upper-level staff) for the Penn conferences is done through either an election process or competitive application. You can be part of general staff much easier however. Selection for Penn's away teams is also competitive for the more popular away trips (i.e. WorldMUN, which is in Beijing this year) and tends to go to upperclassmen, but there are many conferences, and they try to get most kids on at least one team (Yale, Georgetown, Berkeley, and a couple of others I think). You must be on at least general staff for both of Penn's conferences, however, to be considered for away trips (it prevents free-riders, I guess, since everything is paid for by the University).
