I am interested in majoring in museum studies.
It is, from what I've read, a major at the masters level.
I would like to persue a career within a historical museum, soceity, library or archives.

What would I have to major and minor in for a bachelors degree, before pursuing a masters in museum studies?

Also, which languages would be the best to learn for a mueseum studies major?

I know that would include history, hummanities, art histrory/critism, anthropology, archaeology, classics, historical preservation, foreign languages etc.
All of those subjects, and releated subjects interest me.

What I don't know is the right combination of majors or minors.
Should I have a major and a minor, a double major, or major and multiple minors?

I’m in the same boat. I’m majoring in History with minors in Anthropology/Archaeology and museum studies. My emphasis is going to be Russian history. I’ve been told by advisers and those actually working in the field is that it’s best to major/minor in the field you want to work in, like art, history, etc…
What field are you most interested in?

It is not a major at the masters level. Johns Hopkins University has a program in museum studies. [JHU Program for Museums and Society](http://sites.jhu.edu/museums/wam2.html)

I do know I want to work with artificats.
I do not know what I want to specialize or have an emphasis.
Preparing and working with museum displays, or working on site of archaeolgical digs appeals to me.
