Hey everyone, I'm a current senior but I was wondering what your opinions are on some music business programs, particularly in the southeast.
I was accepted into Loyola New Orleans, but I'm not too sure about their program.
Right now I'm looking at Belmont and Middle Tennessee State. I've already been accepted into MTSU (and I can afford their tuition...thanks academic common market!) but I really know nothing about their music business program, or RIM as they call it. Anyone know anything?
What other music business schools have good programs...which ones look credible to employers?

Thanks
:)

There are a number of posters that have spoken very highly of MTSU’s program. The proximity to Nashville should offer very similar opportunities as would the Belmont program.

The strength of these programs lies in the networking and internship opportunities available. Some of the strongest in this regard (in no particular order) have been Belmont, NYU, Drexel, Hartt, Northeastern.

There is not a tremendous amount of expertise on the board regarding these programs. There’s a compilation of info here: <a href=“Music Business/Industry/Management/Technology/Production - Music Major - College Confidential Forums”>Music Business/Industry/Management/Technology/Production - Music Major - College Confidential Forums;

The last post in that thread updates a bad link that was no longer working. You may want to check that thread first.

There are posters within the music major forum [Music Major - College Confidential](Music Major - College Confidential Forums) that may have additional insights.
