I'm a prospective student (currently a rising senior) and I'm thinking about applying to Shepherd as a music history and/or performance major. I also want to pursue studies in biology or economics.

A few questions:
Can I double major in music (history or performance) and biology/economics?
If I decide to be a music history major, do I still have to audition?
and if I decide to drop music, can I change schools really easily?

The info you need for music history is on the auditions page:
Shepherd School of Music - UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES AT THE SHEPHERD SCHOOL OF MUSIC
Music History: Please submit a writing sample (preferably a substantial paper on a musical topic) and a statement about why you wish to study music history. To establish the applicant's musical ability and background, applicants must demonstrate competence on an instrument or voice by submitting an audition recording with a performance of three contrasting works from the standard repertoire, played with accompaniment. It is not required that the skills be at the level of a major in performance. A live audition is not required, but an interview with a music history faculty member is suggested. Please send copies of your work, as application materials cannot be returned.

Double majors are done, you can see them in the survey done with graduates. don't know how easy it woudl be. Biology is a lab science so I imagine it is harder. Maybe someone else can answer that one.
