Musical Luminaries to Join USC Thornton

<p>Violinist Glenn Dicterow, concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic, and his wife, Karen Dreyfus, an acclaimed violist who teaches at the Manhattan School of Music, will join the USC Thorton School of Music faculty in fall 2013.</p>

<p>Already noted in an earlier post Lady Susan Digby will join the USC Thornton School of Music’s faculty this August. She has been the acting director of music at Queen’s College. Lady Digby is a Churchill Fellow, founder of the Voices Foundation and Fellow of the Royal Society of Artists. She will teach a course on English Choral Literature with Nick Strimple who on the faculty in Thornton’s Choral and Sacred Music Department.</p>

<p>The USC Thornton Symphony will open the year with a concert at Bovard Auditorium on September 13, 2012. Time is 7:30. There is no charge for tickets. Check with Thornton for more information.</p>
