Does anyone know if there is any good musical theater in the Boston area? I live in NY and I LOVE broadway and musicals.

It's definitely not going to be as good as in NY, no question about that. This girl on my floor did get the chance to see Putnam County in Boston last semester, though. But there's always the stuff on campus! ;)

I saw the Radio City Rockettes Xmas Spec at the Wang Theatre during xmas vacation, the threatre is grand...
Prolly not as good as NY, but Boston's theatre district (close to Northeastern U i think) is pretty nice

It's much closer to Emerson than Northeastern. Unless NE is on the other side of the district, maybe....

it is closer to emerson, park street and downtown crossing stops are both close to theater venues.

There's some good professional and community theater in the suburbs, too, which you can get to on the T (Boston's train system). Obviously it's not New York, but it's not bad by any means.

And most national tours do come through Boston.

yeah Wicked was here last year.
