For those attending CM auditions - where did you locate what is required for the live auditions? We have the prescreen info but can’t locate what is required for the actual day. Is it the same as the prescreen? Can you sing new material?
@hmichmom I’m following this response. I’m under the assumption that they use the same material, but can’t seem to find any information on their website.

“Do the pre-screening audition monologues/songs need to be different than the live audition monologues/songs?
No (other than the live audition pieces are slightly longer in length, which is highlighted in the email notification students receive if they’re granted a live audition). Students can use the same materials for both the pre-screening and live audition, or can present different pieces at each. The School of Drama advises that for each audition students use pieces they’re most comfortable with and prepared to present – and pieces that presents the student best.”

Still waiting for prescreen results and acceptance/rejection MT from Ithaca. Does anyone know if the student’s name is taken off the members forum when they are rejected? I’ve seen some disappear and I don’t know if that is because they got their names taken off to be private or because they weren’t accepted. Grasping at straws, I know

when you log into my ithaca and click on IC PEERS, if you look up the applicant, their name is there in members
Just when I thought we wouldn’t hear from any schools today due to all the bad weather on the east coast, my D just received word from Coastal Carolina that she passed the prescreen…yay!

@musicmom9 my D hasn’t heard on prescreen results but she received a nice email from them recently indicating they received the application, etc. I’m sure it’s the e-mail blast that others talked about on the Shenandoah thread, but was relieved to hear something from them nonetheless…!

What’s the scoop with NYU-Steinhardt MT prescreen notifications? Do you hear back if you don’t pass?
Website says that faculty review typically takes 2-4 weeks. Which infers that we should hear yes or no shortly thereafter. Some students are receiving an in-person audition invitation much sooner after video upload such as 48-72 hrs. My D has been waiting 2 months and no word. She emailed the program to make sure her application is complete and received a strange answer saying - they don’t require any other info and she doesn’t need to schedule a live audition. That live auditions are only requested if they need more information from a student that they cannot ascertain what they need from a pre-screen video. But that they will touch base later if they want something else. Weird. Sounds like a strange “no” but we’d simply like to have a definitive answer now so we can move on and finalize audition travel. The website hints that they will accept video if you can’t travel to NYC.
Do they only send prescreen “yes” and instead of sending a prescreen “no”, are they silent until you hear for RD notification in April to reject.
Has anyone ever been admitted from a prescreen video (presumably if they saw what they liked enough to forgo a live audition)?
Anyone have any info on LIU Post? Asking for a friend…
